KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Chinese Assembly Hall (MCAH) warmly invites Malaysians of all communities, families, young people, as well as local and international visitors to join the National Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 on Sunday, 13 September 2026, at Jalan Sultan, Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur.
Cultural performances and festive activities will begin from 4.00pm, while Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture YB Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing will attend as the Guest of Honour at 6.30pm.
The National Mid-Autumn Festival is one of MCAH’s major annual cultural events.
Beyond preserving and promoting Chinese traditional culture, MCAH hopes the celebration will also serve as a platform to bring Malaysians of different races, religions and backgrounds together through culture.
The programme will feature a variety of activities, including dragon and lion dances, Chinese cultural performances, multicultural performances, lantern activities and other family-friendly programmes.
By holding the celebration in Petaling Street, one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic tourism areas, MCAH also hopes to give international visitors an opportunity to experience Chinese culture while discovering the wider beauty of Malaysia’s multicultural identity.
MCAH President Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai said:
“The Mid-Autumn moon symbolises reunion. Malaysia’s greatest beauty is that people of different cultures can come together, respect one another and celebrate side by side.”
He also expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, Malaysia MADANI, Visit Malaysia 2026, government agencies, partners, sponsors and volunteers for their support.
