MYWARE and MYLOG Strengthen Malaysia’s Regional Industrial Competitiveness

Showcasing waste management and logistics technologies to support circular economy practices and supply chain efficiency

🌸SHAH ALAM, May 20 2026 — In a defining moment for Malaysia’s industrial and environmental future, the opening of the Malaysia Waste Management and Recycling Expo 2026 (MYWARE) and Malaysia Logistic and Warehouse Expo 2026 (MYLOG) marks a major leap forward in Malaysia’s industrial transformation, supply chain resilience and sustainable economic growth.

These two concurrent events showcase key advancements in waste management, recycling, and cutting-edge logistics technologies, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals while driving growth in vital industries.

The opening ceremony for the exhibitions, held today at Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC), was officiated by YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), with YBhg. Datuk Wira Dr. M Noor Azman bin Taib, Secretary General for the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, in attendance.

💥YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin emphasised the importance of circular economy practices and logistics efficiency in driving sustainable industrial growth.

“Modern logistics must embrace Green logistics: from warehouse energy efficiency and sustainable packaging to Reverse Logistics. The future supply chain is one that minimises waste and supports a circular economy. This synergy aligns with the MADANI Economic Framework, ensuring industrial growth goes hand in hand with environmental responsibility,” said YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin.

He added, “What makes these two exhibitions meaningful is the bridge between them. These platforms are vital for technology adoption and regional collaboration. I believe these exhibitions will unlock new investments that strengthen Malaysia’s global competitiveness.”

💥Unlocking Malaysia’s Industrial Growth from Waste and Innovation
YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin stated that 40% of Malaysia’s daily trash, roughly 15,000 tonnes, consists of high-value plastic, paper, and metal. In the context of global supply disruptions, these materials are stranded assets.

Each time a plastic bottle is buried, valuable raw materials that electronics factories currently struggle to import are lost.

In monetary terms, Malaysia is losing RM500 million of national wealth each year through these discarded materials.

To address this and support Malaysia’s industrial transition, he highlighted that the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and MITI are moving beyond setting targets to actively fuelling business progress through the New Incentive Framework (NIF).

One-size-fits-all policies have been replaced with the National Investment Aspirations (NIA) Scorecard, effectively turning ESG performance into a measurable driver for business growth.

💥MYLOG and MYWARE Exhibition Highlights
MYLOG is an exclusive event bringing together local and international players in logistics and warehousing.

It showcases groundbreaking automation strategies that enhance delivery accuracy and cost efficiency, while offering valuable insights, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities.

Exhibitors include freight forwarders, 3PL providers, IOT, supply chain management and e-commerce supply chain leaders, all providing new solutions to help businesses stay ahead in the sector.

At the same time, aligned with the 12th Malaysia Plan and focusing on ESG goals, MYWARE aims to transform waste into valuable resources for a sustainable future.
The expo connects manufacturers, distributors, and industry professionals across Southeast Asia, fostering collaboration within the waste management and recycling sectors.

Exhibitors include waste recovery companies, recycling equipment manufacturers, and renewable energy agro-waste management, and e-waste companies.
Other event highlights include business matching, seminars, ESG talks, and panel discussions, providing participants with comprehensive insights and educational resources.

“The logistics and warehouse industry serves as the backbone of trade, manufacturing, e-commerce, and supply chain efficiency. The synergy between these two industries is clear, as efficient logistics systems are essential in supporting sustainable waste collection, recycling operations, material recovery, and green supply chains, while sustainable waste management practices are increasingly important for logistics operators and manufacturers aiming to achieve ESG goals and operational excellence,” said Jansen Wong, Organising CEO of MYWARE and MYLOG.

🌸Both MYLOG and MYWARE saw a strong turnout on the first day.
The exhibitions, which are open to the public from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM from 20 May to 22 May, offer free entry and welcome interested parties to visit, providing professionals, industry leaders, and the general public the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in logistics, warehousing, and waste management.

The event is organised by Futura Exposition Management and 8tivation Studio, with support from key government and associations, including the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), Malaysia Zero Emission Vehicle Association (MyZEVA), Malaysian Indian Metal Traders and Recyclers Association (MIMTA), ESG Malaysia and Malaysia Plastics Recyclers Association (MPRA).
